Colleges with Extended Enrollment Deposit Deadlines

Due to Closures Related to Coronavirus Many Colleges are Extending Their Enrollment Deposit Deadlines to June 1 or Later

As colleges release admissions decisions in the midst of cancellations due to the coronavirus pandemic, many schools are hoping to ease anxiety of college bound seniors by extending their enrollment deadlines from May 1 to June 1 or even later.

College visit and admitted student weekend cancellations are greatly impacting students who wanted to visit at least one or more schools before making a final decision about where to enroll. While it’s unknown right now if schools will be able to accept visitors by June 1, it’s definitely a stressful time for students who are also grappling with virtual instruction, testing cancellations, and just general disruption in their day-to-day lives. In order to better accommodate these changes, many colleges are extending their enrollment deposit deadlines.

Over 300 colleges and universities in the US have extended their enrollment deadlines, however, there are close to 500 that have not.
