Current Available Positions

Our Mentors work with high school students to develop and strengthen organizational skills, focus and attention, time management, and prioritizing/planning schedules and academic tasks. Differing from content tutoring, the Mentor will focus on Executive Functioning and study skills, teaching students to implement new habits that will help them excel in homework management, test prep, essay writing, and reading efficiency. Truly passionate about our students’ success, our Mentors have a strong rapport with each student and are adept at customizing each session to their individual needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create a custom study  plan for each student focusing on improving necessary aspects of  Executive Functioning based on their level, achievement goals, and learning style
  • Adapt said plan based on student’s progress, and make recommendations for their overall program
  • Work in tandem with relevant IvyWise team members (tutors, counselors, staff) to ensure goals are aligned, and desired outcomes are achieved
  • Stay up-to-date on changes to student’s academic curricula, and counseling and tutoring assignments to adapt Mentoring strategies for new content
  • Incorporate the use of manipulatives and adaptive technology into study plans as needed
  • Help students develop foundational study and organizational skills
  • Keep detailed notes after each student meeting, and communicate progress updates with parents and/or relevant IvyWise staff regularly

QUALIFICATIONS:

You must be reliable, flexible, patient, and have excellent teaching and interpersonal skills.The ideal candidate will also possess the following:
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree preferred
  • Teaching certificate preferred, experience working one on one with students, preferably as a special education teacher or school psychologist
  • Ability to mentor in-person in New York City
  • Ability to mentor students virtually as required (via Zoom)

The Office Assistant and Sales Support member helps to enroll families in their IvyWise programs, and supports the IvyWise office, and CEO as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Office Support:
  • Handle receptionist duties, including answering phones and managing phone lines, greeting guests as they enter office and offering refreshments, as well as responding to “office” emails within 24 hours
  • Track and order office supplies to maintain inventory as needed for operations;
  • Manage mail and messengering into and out of the office
  • Manage logistics and travel for CEO’s business or media travel, create and update itineraries
  • Assist with travel plans for other staff members
  • Liaise with auxiliary service providers including the Company’s accounting firm, technology support firm, business machines and janitorial firm; and building management
  • Run errands as necessary outside of office
Sales Support
  • Primary responsibility for all payment plans including tracking collection of appropriate forms, maintenance of payment information in Salesforce and payment plan tracking, communicating with clients as payable dates approach and timely processing of all payments according to schedule
  • Primary responsibility for client accounts payable (AP) including creating invoices, charging credit cards via cc processing or collecting check or wire information from clients and upkeep of all payment and/or credit information in SalesForce and within cc processing. (NB, tutoring reups and additional hours typically handled by client relations or tutoring manager(s)
  • With other members of enrollment team, handle intake calls, provide details on IvyWise services and programs to prospective families and record all lead information within SalesForce (and portal as appropriate) and follow up appropriately.
  • With other members of enrollment team, respond to all prospect and client inquiries in a prompt and professional manner
  • Guide families through the enrollment process
  • Coordinate and conduct regular outreach to prospective families in an effort to increase student enrollment under sales and marketing direction
  • Maintain lead and sales information in Salesforce and portal

QUALIFICATIONS:

You must be very organized, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and have the natural inclination to think analytically and work independently and in a team environment. The ideal candidate will possess the following:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience. Prior experience in education or for an international or luxury brand is a plus

The Client Relations Associate works directly with students and families to ensure their experience with IvyWise is flawless. We are seeking someone with strong interpersonal skills who is detailed oriented and willing to go above and beyond to ensure his/her clients are satisfied with our services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support assigned IvyWise admissions counselors and all clients working with those counselors through their IvyWise programs
  • Communicate with clients and their families on an ongoing basis, building rapport by ensuring their needs are met and exceeding their expectations, address student/family issues in a proactive manner
  • Keep database and student files accurate and current
  • Disseminate appropriate information to counselors as needed, and work with Client Relations team to facilitate all counselor Roundtables and professional development meetings
  • Oversee counselor reporting of session time and distribution of client notes in a timely manner
  • Work closely with tutoring team to monitor students’ tutoring progress
  • Work with Client Relations team on development and maintenance of proprietary student portal
  • Update student portal with college applications prompts for the admission season, keep track of important admissions dates/deadlines
  • Facilitate and execute sales for additional IvyWise services for enrolled clients
  • Keep abreast of all college admissions news and updates

  • Coordinate tutoring sessions with each student’s family and adhere to the agreed upon schedule
  • Stay up to date on changes to standardized tests and curricula, adapt teaching methods for new content, and apply latest methodologies during tutoring sessions

  • Previous teaching and/or tutoring experience with K-6 students required

  • Respond to all correspondence from students, parents, and the IvyWise Tutoring Manager and Client Relations Managers within 24 hours of receipt
QUALIFICATIONS: You must be reliable, flexible, and patient, and have excellent teaching and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will also possess the following:

  • Ability to teach all sections of the SAT and ACT required

IvyWise guides students and families seeking admission to Pre-K, K-12, college and graduate schools and programs. Our counselors complement school-based services and are truly passionate about our students' success, becoming trusted advisors and advocates for our students. A college counselor assists students in grades 9-12 with all aspects of the college preparation, search, and application processes. We are currently seeking a part-time counselor to work with students. This position provides the opportunity to counsel students, manage individual projects, and work as part of an energetic and creative team. QUALIFICATIONS: You must be organized, detail-oriented, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the natural inclination to think creatively and work both independently and in a team environment. The ideal candidate possesses the following:
  • Bachelor's degree required. Advance degree preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of direct experience in undergraduate admissions office of a selective US college or university. Experience in college counseling at a selective high school may also be considered towards, but not in lieu of, this prerequisite. Experience in both is preferred. Prior involvement working with international students is a plus. We cannot consider the candidacy of any applicant who does not meet this prerequisite.

The part-time counselor position requires flexibility as part-time counselors often work weekends and evenings to advise students. Applicants must be available for one weekly evening team meeting in the fall (remote participation acceptable).
