Tutor Profile
Gabi specializes in academic tutoring for English, Spanish, history, executive functioning, middle school math, and ISEE test prep. With more than a decade of experience in education, she has supported students as a bilingual educator, reading specialist, and executive functioning coach. Her career began with City Year in Washington, D.C., where she provided literacy and math intervention for students in underserved public schools.
Gabi earned her Master of Science in Education from The City College of New York, specializing in supporting neurodivergent learners. She has completed extensive professional development in evidence-based intervention methods, including the Hochman Method and Lindamood-Bell, strengthening her ability to support students with ADHD, Autism, OCD, and other learning differences.
As a founding faculty member at Avenues: The World School, Gabi taught students in grades K-4, served as Director of the Avenues Spanish Summer Camp, and collaborated on curriculum design and instructional innovation initiatives. Throughout her career, she has been committed to helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Gabi has also guided families through important educational decisions, from school placement and learning evaluations to long-term academic planning. Her approach is compassionate, structured, and deeply collaborative, grounded in the belief that every student can thrive with the right support.
Outside of work, Gabi enjoys spending time with her family, raising her two sons bilingually in English and Spanish. She can often be found exploring parks, taking walks with their mini goldendoodle, River, or working on creative art projects with her boys.
