Counselor Profile
Christine is a former Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at both Yale University and Georgetown University.
Christine graduated from Yale University magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in history. She also holds a master’s degree in public policy and a Ph.D. in political science from Georgetown, where she also taught courses. Her research focuses on the intersections of politics, religion, gender, and race and ethnicity, and her academic work has appeared in political science journals and books.
As an IvyWise counselor, Christine has guided both U.S. and international students through the hyper-competitive college admissions process. She relishes the opportunity to work with students and their families and enjoys helping students reach their academic and personal goals. She is also a Counseling Team Leader, helping to train and provide ongoing professional development to all IvyWise counselors.
Christine places a high value on the learning aspect of higher education and believes it helps to develop who you are. She says, “At the undergraduate level, it’s so formative. You get exposed to new ideas, new people. The personal growth part is huge. I really believe that everyone should have that kind of experience if they want.”

Christine speaks Mandarin and in her free time, enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, running, and reading history books and biographies. Christine also loves to bake and is always on the lookout for a good recipe, particularly for a tasty butter cake.
