Scott, M.P.A.

Premier College Admissions Counselor

Former Assistant Director of Admissions,
Yale University

Scott specializes in students seeking admission to highly selective schools, international students, under-represented minorities, and students who need significant personal support.

Scott is a former Assistant Director of Admissions at Yale University, and has worked with families in the US and abroad, guiding them through the application processes for some of the world’s most selective institutions.

Scott graduated with honors from Yale with a BA in Political Science and East Asian studies. He holds an MPA in Nonprofit Management and Policy Analysis from New York University‘s (NYU) Wagner School of Public Service.

At Yale, Scott read thousands of applications and served on the admissions committee. He also spent a lot of time in California, working with the students of California’s many public and private high schools, in between hikes along the coast. Scott led the training for Yale’s student and alumni admissions representatives and was instrumental in diversifying the student cohort for his designated regions.

Since leaving Yale admissions, Scott has continued to work with domestic and international students on their college choices, working with students privately and serving as admissions expert on all aspects of the application process.

Scott has an intense interest in business development, particularly holistic, community-driven approaches to developing education systems that support economic development. He founded a Non-Governmental Organization, Amandla Development, that has been driving a new model for learning opportunities in the Philippi community. Scott has also been privileged to work with various organizations and government agencies in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region, supporting the next generation of emerging market thought leaders.

Scott speaks Spanish, French, Portuguese, Mandarin, and Afrikaans. He is also learning isiXhosa and just may demonstrate the clicks for you.
