About IvyWise

The IvyWise Difference

Why IvyWise?

IvyWise provides students around the world with unparalleled admissions counseling services. Our counselors are experts in their field and their knowledge is supplemented by our unique methodology and team approach to counseling.

The results speak for themselves. In 2018, 91% of IvyWise students gained admission into one or more of their three top-choice schools. We are proud to say that over the last 20 years, 99.8% of IvyWise alumni graduated from the colleges they selected and were admitted to with the support of IvyWise counseling.

The IvyWise Difference sets us apart from any other educational consultancy in the world.

Unrivaled Expertise and Experience

IvyWise has been in business for over 20 years and and our team of former admissions officers from some of the country’s most selective universities has over 150 years of combined experience. In our entire 20 year history, less than 1% of our students have ever transferred from their original school.

Individualized Attention

Our counselors, who work with only a limited number of students in each class year, truly get to know their students and provide personalized attention and guidance. They serve as mentors and motivators who nurture a student’s development and confidence, while simultaneously demystifying the university application process for the entire family.

Unique Methodology

Seeking admission to college is more than just test scores and grades. The IvyWise methodology empowers students to identify and utilize their strengths and interests to make an impact in their community. IvyWise takes a holistic approach to counseling, taking into account the whole student and his or her goals.

Team-Based Counseling

Every student receives the benefit of our entire team’s expertise. All of our counselors work together at the weekly IvyWise Roundtable Review, where they simulate the actual admissions process, giving students the advantage of a mock admissions committee.

Full Range of Services

In addition to admissions counseling, IvyWise has a team of tutors to provide the most efficient and effective test prep and academic subject tutoring, complemented by our research services. We can also pair you with athletic counselors, post-graduate counselors (gap-year counselors), learning disabilities specialists, and more.

Concierge-Level Service

Our students are our top priority, and we strive to provide personalized and personable service to every family, working to accommodate almost any request. Whether it’s immediate access to a specialty tutor for an upcoming exam, or flying counselors halfway around the world for a meeting with a student, we’re willing to do what we can to make sure families are supported in every aspect of the college counseling process.

Accessibility

IvyWise has worked with students in over 40 different countries. We work in person, by phone, by Skype or Zoom, and through our online portal, myIvyWise, which allows the student, counselor, and parents to follow the student’s progress together, communicate, and collaborate 24/7.

Flexibility and Choice

We offer a variety of counselors and tutors who can work with you in a single session, or guide you through your entire academic career. We will design a program to fit your needs and budget.

Empowering Students Beyond Applications

We help students with more than just admissions. The IvyWise process helps students identify and achieve their academic and personal goals. We help students develop academic tools for lifelong success that will serve them in college and in the professional world.
