According to the most recent Open Doors report, there are over 90,000 students from the Middle East studying in the US. Applicants from all over the world are competing for spots at the top universities in the US, and with limited spots, the process is extremely selective.

Here’s What International Students Taking the ACT Can Expect in 2018
The ACT is shaking things up this year for international test-takers. Starting in September 2018, the ACT is transitioning to computer-based testing for all international students, meaning students will need to take their entire examination on the computer (unless the student has approved accommodations that approve them for paper testing).
As the admissions season for the class of 2019 wraps up, a new crop of anxious college bound students is getting closer to starting their own admissions journey. For international students interested in studying at a US university, the application process can be confusing as the US admissions process is very different from other parts of the world.
Most high school students, both US and international, would agree that US colleges and universities are great models of higher education. US students are familiar with the SAT, ACT, and the Common Application, so it’s very tempting to simply examine college admissions through an American lens. However, doing so would be a disservice to the unique and complex college admissions processes of countries outside of the United States.

High school students across the US aren’t the only ones trying to navigate the often-confusing college application process; students across the WORLD are, too. And many are thinking about coming to the US for their higher education.
