IvyWise Executive Functioning Coach
B.A., Millersville University of Pennsylvania
M.Ed., Widener University
Stephanie specializes in developing and strengthening the executive functioning and study skills of students to help them maximize their academic potential.
Stephanie has almost a decade of experience working with students of all grade levels teaching them the tools needed to enrich their academic experience. Specifically, Stephanie works closely with students to refine their strengths in areas such as organizational skills, goal setting, task management, and prioritizing. Stephanie places a strong emphasis on self-advocacy and aims to bridge any gaps in the relationship between student and teacher.
After graduating from Widener University with a Master of Education, with a specific concentration in counselor education, Stephanie went on to earn a certificate of social work so that she may apply a Whole Family Approach to her craft. Stephanie practices with the belief that strong families are essential to the well-being of children, adults, and the community. The Whole Family Approach is a family-led strategy that provides adults and children with the tools they need to set goals together, create plans, and to achieve those goals.
As a parent, Stephanie understands first-hand the need for a strong foundation of even the most basic of executive functioning skills. Stephanie believes executive functioning skills help children develop necessary skills such as teamwork, leadership, decision-making, working toward goals, critical thinking, adaptability, and being aware of our own emotions as well as those of others.
Stephanie is currently a high school guidance counselor, where she teaches students the necessary life skills to achieve their goals. Stephanie also enjoys volunteering her time to local charities that focus on the needs of women and children in South Jersey. Additionally, she enjoys yoga, cooking and hosting her large, Italian family, and spending summers at the Jersey Shore.
