Research and Editorial Coordinator
New York, NY
IvyWise, LLC (New York City) seeks a dynamic and personable Research and Editorial Coordinator.
Our counselors assist Pre-K through graduate school students with all aspects of the school preparation, search and application processes. You will be an integral member of the team, serving as the company’s support staff for marketing, research, and client relations.
This responsibilities of the position includes the following:
- Researching academic information for counselors and/or students, including research on colleges, high schools, and academic, extracurricular and summer opportunities;
- Completing occasional writing and editing exercises and articles, including content creation for the newsletter and blog;
- Assisting in the company’s social media and marketing efforts, including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and YouTube;
- Assisting with planning, marketing, implementing, tracking and follow up from events including but not limited to speaking engagements, college fairs, and media appearances;
- Communicating with prospective clients, including information requests and follow up emails to families;
- General Administrative support for the Executive Assistant including but not limited to: keeping database and student files accurate and current; compiling student materials; tracking and ordering office inventory and supplies; maintaining an orderly and organized office environment; assisting in mass mailings and general administrative support, including scanning and shredding documents.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 1 year of relevant experience for an international or luxury brand
- Excellent interpersonal and writing skills
- Attention to detail, with superb organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Ability to thrive in a demanding and fast-paced environment and to resolve most problems using your own initiative
- Strong customer service skills and comfort communicating with high school students and their parents around the world
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
- Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion
- Web and computer proficient

Intern
New York, NY
IvyWise is seeking internship candidates for the Spring 2013 semester. With the right candidate, this internship may extend beyond Spring 2013. This is a great opportunity to get hands on experience with office and management skills, college admissions and marketing. You will work closely with IvyWise staff on marketing, research, and administrative projects to promote the company's core functions.
Note: You will be asked to work around 20 hours a week. Pay is hourly.RESPONSIBILITES:
- General office administrative duties, including, but not limited to: maintaining and updating databases, filing, maintaining office organization and supplies.
- This person will also be responsible for answering phones and providing clients/potential clients and their families with general information.
- Conduct research and support company projects.
- Administrative support to the CEO and other staff members, including helping to schedule and coordinate appointments, travel and events.
- Other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
We are a small company, so it’s important you be ready and willing to jump right in and get involved!
- Student at or graduate of a four-year degree program
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet is required
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal/communication and project management skills
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work effectively in a demanding and fast-developing environment and to resolve most issues with one's initiative
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion
- Interest in education a plus
- Prior office experience a plus
