IvyWise has been in business for over 26 years, and our team of former admissions officers from some of the country’s most selective universities like Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Stanford, MIT, and NYU, to name a few, has over 375 years of collective experience in admissions as well as close to 100 years of experience in college guidance roles at top independent and private schools.

Our counselors, who work with only a limited number of students in each class year, truly get to know their students and provide personalized attention and guidance. They serve as mentors and motivators who nurture a student’s development and confidence, while simultaneously demystifying the university application process for the entire family.

Seeking admission to college is more than just test scores and grades. The IvyWise methodology empowers students to identify and utilize their strengths and interests to make an impact in their communities. IvyWise takes a holistic approach to counseling, taking into account the whole student and their goals.

Every student receives the benefit of our entire team’s expertise. All of our counselors work together at the weekly IvyWise Roundtable Review, where they simulate the actual admissions process, giving students the advantage of a mock admissions committee.

In addition to admissions counseling, IvyWise has a team of tutors to provide the most efficient and effective test prep and academic subject tutoring, complemented by our research services. We can also pair you with athletic counselors, post-graduate counselors (gap-year counselors), learning difference specialists, and more.

Our students are our top priority, and we strive to provide personalized and personable service to every family, working to accommodate almost any request. Whether it’s immediate access to a specialty tutor for an upcoming exam, or flying counselors halfway around the world for a meeting with a student, we’re willing to do whatever we can to make sure families are supported in every aspect of the college counseling process.

IvyWise has worked with students in over 59 different countries. We work in-person, by phone, over Zoom, and through our online portal, myIvyWise, which allows the student, counselor, and parents to follow the student’s progress together, communicate, and collaborate 24/7.

We keep our fingers on the pulse of college admissions. All IvyWise college counselors are members of NACAC and/or IECA and adhere to all principles of good practice. Our counselors regularly tour colleges, attend and speak at industry conferences, and keep up with the latest developments in admissions. IvyWise also strictly adheres to the National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC) Statement of Principles of Good Practice and the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) Principles of Good Practice.
