Scott Clarke, MPA
College Admissions Counselor Areas of expertise: students seeking admission to highly selective schools, international students, under-represented minorities and students who need significant personal support.
A former Assistant Director of Admissions at Yale University, Scott has worked with families in the US and abroad, guiding them through the application processes for some of the world's most selective institutions.
Scott graduated with honors from Yale with a BA in Political Science and East Asian studies. He holds an MPA in Nonprofit Management and Policy Analysis from New York University's (NYU) Wagner School of Public Service.
At Yale, Scott read thousands of applications and served on the admissions committee. He also spent a lot of time in California, working with the students of California's many public and private high schools, in between hikes along the coast. Scott led the training for Yale's student and alumni admissions representatives and was instrumental in diversifying the student cohort for his designated regions.
Since leaving Yale admissions, Scott has continued to work with domestic and international students on their college choices, working with students privately and serving as admissions expert on all aspects of the application process. Scott worked in education reform both in New York and Cape Town, South Africa, where he had also done HIV/AIDS counseling and consulting for non-profits. He continues development work for South Africa and if he's not working in New York, he can be found hiking the various peaks and beaches of southern Africa. Scott speaks Spanish, French, Portuguese, Mandarin, and Afrikaans, is learning isiXhosa and just may demonstrate the clicks for you.
