Jennifer Blackman
Writing Tutor

Jennifer joined the IvyWise team in February 2008 and will be assisting in the writing related projects, marketing support and administration.

Jennifer graduated with honors from New York University in May 2006.  She was on the Dean’s list and earned a Bachelor’s degree from the Gallatin School of Individualized Study, designed her own concentration in Cultural Anthropology, Literature and Creative Writing.  At the end of her first year at NYU, Jennifer was awarded of the Elaine Kuntz Scholarship in Prose Composition for her outstanding written work as a freshman.  Although she adored New York City, Jennifer also studied French language and culture for a semester in Aix-en-Provence.  Upon graduation, she went back to her hometown of Houston to teach English to high school juniors. But she couldn’t stay away for long. She recently came back to New York City to pursue her creative writing.

Outside of IvyWise, Jennifer spends an inordinate amount of time absorbed in New York’s film, literary and music world.  When not engaged in the above, she is often found actively seeking the scrabble hold grail of a triple word score.
