Aarti is an undergraduate at Columbia University, where she hopes to major in Political Science and English. Moving from her hometown in Texas to New York City has been an exciting experience, full of broadened horizons and missed subway transfers. She is looking forward to next one, interning with IvyWise and ApplyWise over the summer.
It was not too long ago that Aarti stayed up all night researching schools and editing college essays. She remembers how demanding the task of applying to college can be-but also how rewarding. Learning about and working with ApplyWise, the online college counseling program based on IvyWise's methodology, has been a meaningful way for her to help other students survive the college admissions process.
Aarti's first love has always been writing. In high school, Aarti wrote and served as editor for various student publications, and held a column in the community newspaper. She continues to write as a freelance journalist. In her free time, Aarti can either be found reading on Columbia's Low Steps, sampling the many cuisines New York has to offer, or scribbling away in her ubiquitous notebook.
