A graduate of the College of William and Mary, Brinton also has two Masters Degrees in early childhood education from The Catholic University of America and Association Montessori Internationale. Her educational, professional, and personal experiences, as the mother of twins, qualify her as one of New York City’s most sought after educational advisors, helping families find the right school for their child.

Joining IvyWise in 2008, Brinton brings twenty-five years of experience as a teacher, director of admissions and school administrator. She has taught at many schools and at many grade levels, including fourth grade at The Spence School, a highly selective all-girls independent school on the Upper East Side. Her administrative experience includes serving as the Director of Admissions at The York Preparatory School, a comprehensive co-ed middle and high school on the Upper West Side known for its flexibility in serving a wide range of student abilities. Brinton has also worked with schools in New York City, Washington, D.C. and Florida, guiding parents and students through preschool admissions and ongoing placement.

Also, Brinton is a well-respected leader among her professional peers. She brings to WiseKids her leadership roles as:

  • Executive Director of the Independent School Chairpersons Association, a nationally based membership organization focused exclusively on governance in independent schools,
  • Board member of the Parents League of New York
  • Facilitator for Parents In Action.

Lastly, Brinton has spoken extensively about understanding pre-K to secondary admissions and how to be a better parent to a variety of audiences and organizations such as Goldman Sachs, Kirkland & Ellis, The Cosmopolitan Club, the Junior League of New York and Douglas Elliman.
