  • Admissions Counselor New York, NY

    The Admissions Counselor assists students in grades 9 - 12 with all aspects of the college preparation, search and application processes. You will be counseling students, managing individual projects, doing college research, writing articles, giving presentations, and working as part of our energetic and creative team. We work hard on behalf of our students, and are most proud of our team approach, wherein our students get the benefit of each counselor’s unique background and knowledge.     QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Required: Bachelor's degree
    • Required: Minimum of 2-3 years of full-time employment as an admissions officer, or similar, in the undergraduate admissions office at a selective or very selective college/university
    • Must display a high degree of integrity and possess: strong interpersonal and oral communication skills, excellent writing skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, comfort working with high school students and their parents, from all over the globe, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and web and computer proficiency.
    • Must be located in New York City metropolitan area or be willing to relocate for this position
    • Advanced degree and/or certificate in college counseling a plus

  • Director of Business Development and Marketing New York, NY

    The Director is responsible for overseeing all student and family enrollment and acquisition, as well as creating and executing all marketing and public relations for the company. This is an essential role within the company and is a great opportunity for those with experience in sales, marketing, or college admissions within the education space. You will work closely with IvyWise staff on student enrollment, marketing and communications, client relations, media relations, and other projects to support the company.

    RESPONSIBILITES:

    • Manage and oversee business development/client acquisition, including coordinating and conducting regular outreach to prospective families in an effort to increase student enrollment
    • Identify methods to drive brand awareness and student enrollment
    • Develop and execute annual marketing plan and manage marketing budget
    • Create goals for company; analyze and report on marketing, sales, and business development activities and results
    • Oversee company’s PR agency and all press relations and media contacts
    • Plan, implement and track marketing events including speaking events and media appearances
    • Oversee the content and delivery of all web-based communications, including online newsletters, social media, podcasts, and website
    • Oversee the efforts of other employees’ client relations and serve as resource for Client Relations and Tutoring Managers
    • Identify new opportunities and relationships with online and offline partners
    • Manage office staff and interns, including two direct reports
    • Assist with hiring activities where necessary

    QUALIFICATIONS:

      You must be organized, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and have the natural inclination to think creatively and work independently and in a team environment. The ideal candidate will possess the following:

    • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree or MBA preferred
    • Personal or professional experience with the selective college admissions process
    • A minimum of 4-6 years of relevant business development, marketing, or sales experience. Prior experience in education or for an international or luxury brand is a plus. Graduate education may be substituted for the equivalent years of experience.
    • A dedication to best-in-class service and client relations
    • Proven experience meeting ambitious revenue and marketing goals
    • Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment
    • Meticulous attention to detail and impeccable editing abilities
    • An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to multitask, set priorities, and take initiative
    • Discretion and dedication to protecting the confidentiality of students and families
    • Confidence, resourcefulness, accountability, and a high degree of integrity and ethics
    • Comfort working with client databases (Salesforce.com experience a plus) and web-based marketing solutions
    • Flexible schedule required; some travel may be required

  • Executive Assistant New York, NY

    The Executive Assistant is responsible for all initial student and family communications, appointment scheduling, billing, and general office management. This position supports IvyWise's Founder and CEO and it is important that you possess a "can-do" attitude, impeccable organizational skills, and outstanding communication skills. This is an essential role within the company and is a great opportunity for those considering a career in counseling, college admissions, or education. You will work closely with IvyWise staff on client relations, student enrollment, and other projects to support the company.

    RESPONSIBILITES:

    • Providing details on IvyWise services and programs to prospective families
    • Working with families to set up initial appointments with counselors and make sure all materials are complete in advance of the initial appointment
    • Coordinating the company calendar, including scheduling appointments for Founder & CEO
    • Handling receptionist duties, including managing phone lines and e-mails
    • Planning travel itineraries for Founder & CEO and other staff members
    • Billing; monitoring the accounts receivables and accounts payables
    • Keeping abreast of college admissions news and updates
    • Assisting in company's outreach and student enrollment operations
    • Managing interns
    • Tracking and ordering office inventory
    • Handling technology issues by serving as liaison with our technology team

    QUALIFICATIONS:

      You must be organized, detail-oriented, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have the natural inclination to think creatively and work independently and in a team environment. Prior experience in education, or working as an assistant, office manager, customer service or in sales is a plus. The ideal candidate will possess the following:

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • 1-3 years experience working in a fast-paced environment
    • An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to multitask, set priorities, and take initiative
    • Personal or professional experience with the selective college admissions process
    • Discretion and dedication to protecting the confidentiality of students and families
    • Confidence, resourcefulness, accountability, and a high degree of integrity and ethics
